How much does it cost to replace the engine to a 2001 impala

Check on crate engine prices. Are you going to trade in the old engine? Are you or someone going to use the old parts, like heads and EFI system? Are you going to get an engine complete so it is put in and turn the key and go? Depending on how you go, between $1500 for just a rebuilt short block or $6000 for a mechanic to put in a turn key engine.
