We have a chevy s10 blazer that shuts off
while driving or stopped. Could it be the gas
filter needs fixed or connection wires to the
engine?

How long does it take for it to crank back up? If it takes about 30 minutes before it cranks or did when it started out doing this it could be the pick up module in the distributor and it can be replaced without taking the distributor out.
