Smoke out of dip stick tube
2003 s10 crew cab, smoke in tube, going up hill, low power but high rpm.no
burning smell,or bad smoke out of exhaust,no leaks
Check your transmission
Smoke out of your oil dipstick tube can mean only one thing, bad rings. Combustion gases are blowing by and getting into the crankcase. Low power is another indicator of this. A compression test on each cylinder will tell you which ones are bad.
You may notice some smoke if you just shut it off and it is setting but not a lot of smoke, but if it is running and PCV system is operating properly and you still see smoke then KenF is right on the money with what he stated.
