1996 to 2002

I have a 2002 chevrolet s10 that is completely
gutted motor transmission everything due to flood
water. I am being offered a donor s10 that is a
1996 with a 4.3 auto and my truck had the 2.2
auto. Could i take everything off of the 96 including
wiring and other electronics and put it in my 2002?
