I have a 2001 4x4 crew cab has a bad center link that is discontuned ( pitman hole over sized can it be welded and redrilled

Have you tried Dorman or Moog for the center link? As far as welding over the worn out hole, I doubt you will find anyone that will do it due to liability. Those parts are normally poured from molten metal, turned, threaded then drilled.
