im am looking at a 2000 chevy s10 thats supposivly has had a complet engine rebuild with around 5000 miles on it, the problem is it holds 40lbs oil pressure until it get warm then drops to zero
oil pressure drops to zero when engine warms up and stays there, engine sounds fine no knocking or anything , temperature is right around 205-210. only thing that worries me about the truck is oil pressure, was told everything was put in new in the engine.
Be very wary of this one, I have seen this more than once, an engine is overhauled and the machine shop does something and damages the block internally, like crack a journal web, pressures fine until it warms up then the oil pressure drops out, only real fix is replacing the block.
