Little fuel then high idle

Asked by Monica Jan 01, 2019 at 02:49 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet S-10 LS Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Chevy S10 that was acting like it
wasn't getting much fuel, thought fuel pump was
needing replaced but yesterday I was driving it and
was stopped at a traffic light, when it turned green I
accelerated with having no power then all of a
sudden it got a mind of its own and accelerated
without my foot on the pedal. What could cause
this to happen?
