Haynes manuals have a wiring diagram for most vehicles that will show you how the wiring connects. If you're putting in an aftermarket radio I would recommend that you get a vehicle-specific wiring harness from Crutchfield. It will come with instructions and the radio wiring diagram so that you can connect the new radio to your existing wiring.
