Try a compression test , Or take it to a mechanic , or junk it and get something that runs

A 1994 model is OBD I so you need a scan tool that can communicate with the older systems. Is the service engine soon light on? If so there's a code in the computer. A fast idle and popping back through the throttle body indicates a lean air to fuel mixture. Most likely a vacuum leak. To confirm this check the spark plugs. If the electrodes are white, you have a lean air to fuel mixture. Hope that helps! Jim
