got fire, injectors spraying fuel, got good compression
Got fire, injectors spraying fuel, got good compression 1993 Chevy S-10 4.3 engine. Still will not fire up, new battery, 650, cold cranking amps.
Drove approx. 10 miles to do shopping ran excellent all the way , stayed in store about an hour when we came out the truck would not fire up , engine turns over fast enough to start, check ignition module, checked compression in the 120's on all 6 cylinders, fuel pump works , can hear it humming when ignition switch is turned on. I'm stumped
Thanks for any help you can suggest.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
I also have a 4.3 V 6 . This is what I would do. Spray some starting fluid down the throttle body and see if it fires. By doing this it should do something. If nothing pull the distributor cap and crank it over make sure rotor turns. Might have broke timing chain or the roll pin on the bottom of the distributor drive shaft might have sheared. The contact in the ignition switch might have failed that connects the battery to the ignition system when cranking. I had mine quit. Ran fine one time next time went to start ,nothing till I replaced it. Hope this helps.
