Okay I have a 93 s10 2.8l replaced the
distributor installed correctly now truck will
crank but will not start. I have done plugs
wires and coil. Any ideas
Was it a new or reman distributor?
I have a feeling you missed, pull it out and try it again...
I'm sure it's a reman since I purchased it at AutoZone
Was the vehicle running before you installed the distributor? If not perhaps the distributor was not the problem.
Yes it was but was running very rough and very lean. This all started with a fouled plug so I replaced plugs and wires then truck started running lean and had no power replaced rotor and cap still ran rough so moved on to distributer and coil
Lean could be caused by manifold vacuum leak or low fuel pressure. Have you tested the fuel pressure?
That's the problem with remans, they use the old electronics and if there is a thermal breakdown they never test for it, so either exchange it for a new one or replace the pickup coil and the module, and then see how it runs,
