Fuel pump not pumping fuel

Asked by Giantsfan1957 Jan 22, 2017 at 06:37 PM about the 1993 Chevrolet S-10 LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

93 Chevy s10, won't start. Will start when I
put gas in throttle body. So, I replaced fuel
pump, no luck. All fuses are good, so I
replaced fuel relay, still no luck. Is it the ICM,
or could it be I got a bad fuel pump?

You have a fuel pressure issue, putting gas into the throttle body and it starts and runs until the gas is burn out. Can you hear the pump run when you just turn the key to the on position?

It is not the ICM. More than likely it is the fuel regulator.

FYI the distributor pickup fires the injectors. Get a noid light kit from the parts store and check for injector pulse
