91 S10 needs ECM what will interchange

Asked by Apr 06, 2017 at 06:03 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet S-10 STD Standard Cab SB

Question type: General

1 Answer

Visit your local auto parts store and buy a rebuilt one. They're not that expensive. Around $80. Remember to transfer the PROM from the old ECM to the new one. There's a core charge on the new one which you'll get back when you turn in the old unit, in the box, to the store. Remember to disconnect the negative (-) battery cable before beginning the replacement! HTH. -Jim
