My S-10 has a 350 with some wiring problems. It won't shut off after disconnectiong the battery. I even tried disconnecting the alternator and battery. Still runs. I am going crazy...

On till you can find out what the wire problem is, splice in a cut off switch to the positive side of the coil.

Sound,s like your igintion switch is bad.It kills the fire to coil.
