Cruise control not working

Most common is a broken cable at the servo connection, then vacuum dump valve stuck open, vacuum source bad or leaking, steering wheel carbon brushes and or switches not operating, and with a rig that old wiring is a concern and of course the control module. A shop manual is best for this kind of diagnosis as it will have the values of the switches listed. HTH
