ford f250 super duty my truck will not start when i turn the key

i have a ford f250 super duty my truck will not start when i turn the key but i can
start it when i jump my starter. Any thoughts

Had this same problem before. Ended up spending over a night in a 711 parking lot taking apart and rebuilding the starter several times before I finally had the bright idea check out the fuse panel, turns out it was just the starter fuse. KISS (keep it simple stupid) I should have started at the most basic possible problem, would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.
