1996 f250 high revs no shift

Was driving it yesterday and started it was driving
less then 5 mins got to a intersection and it moved
across the road and then it wouldn't move any
further would just high rev no matter gear. This
morning I proceeded to start the truck and try
again it did move in first with overdrive off. Then
quickly stopped. The transmission was over filled
slightly. What could be some possibilities for this?

Get some fluid out of the trans and try sea foam. The Stuff fixed mine and it was flashing off at the column and not shifting correctly and sometimes not moving but now it’s ok
