Low compression in #1 cylinder

How low? Try squirting about a teaspoon full of motor oil in the cylinder through the spark plug hole. If the reading improves it's the piston rings. If it doesn't improve the reading or the reading is very low it's a stuck/burned valve. HTH. -Jim
