why is there no spark from the coil when the coil has power to it and the distributor has power. 1994 Ford F150

Is the coil wire good? That the coil might be bad is another possibility.

That sounds like the typical ignition module/pickup coil failure, if they haven't ever been replaced, now might be a good time to do so. see pic.
