Left rear brake and blinker light.

Asked by Mar 02, 2016 at 12:10 AM about the 2006 Ford F-150 XL SuperCab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My left rear running light works fine but the brake
and blinker light will not work. Fuses inside the cab
are good. There is a black wire that looks like a
ground wire inside of the tail light cover that is loose
and has a naked end on it. The black wire runs back
down under my bumper. And when I say inside the
tail light cover I mean we're your sockets and bulbs
are. Any ideas on what the problem can be. Thanks

Check bulb. Running lights are in a different circuit

I put a new bulb in. No luck. Thanks for the feedback. I'm going nuts trying to figure it out.lol I even took the bulb from the right side tail light and put it in the left one and still no luck. I do notice though that when my park lights are on and I have the right side blinker on the left side bulb will fade in and out just a little bit like it's in rhythm with the right side blinker. I know it sounds crazey.lol

Ur missing the ground wire, that wire ur talking about it's probably ur ground, test it for voltage first, if no voltage present, connect to ground and try it

Where would be the ideal place to ground it?
