Got a truck that's been sitting for 4 years replaced fuel pump ,fuel filter changed oil drained and replaced with new gas and new battery truck started rite up. Question it just started doing this
After it's been idling for a while or when you
go to stop then start to drive it' wants to die
.what is that ?
i am assuming its a carb and not fuel injection. go to wallmart and buy some seafoam put some in tank and some in carb. its 7 bucks at wallmart 11 at autozone
No, they have not used carbs on Ford F150 since the 80's
Check the resistance on the plug wires with an ohm meter, could have a bad one or more. New plugs are not a bad idea either. Check the coil with a meter while you have it out.
Any time you let a vehicle set up for awhile with gas in it the gas will gum up in the lines and injectors. The only injector cleaner i like using is lucas injector cleaner. You can use what ever kind you like But you need to clean the lines and injectors.
