Rear passenger door water leaks

Asked by Jun 26, 2011 at 12:12 AM about the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am getting rain water inside the door kick of the the rear passenger door.  This is saturating the floor carpet along the inside of the door.  The weatherstripping is in good shape and I see no evidence of where the leak is coming from.  Also, we do not have a sunroof so it is not coming from there.  Any ideas on where this water could be coming from?

i'm not sure, but i have leaks in my 90 suburban. mostly from the back window. have you tried checking around the luggage rack or drip rails (if equipped). i have removed all of mine and still havethe mounting holes. i believe this is the cause of mine, but i dont know if it will help you

We are having the same problem however, it is seeping into the drivers side. Please let me know if you've been successful in getting a refund. We have had it fixed 3 times. Same problem and now putting a lawsuit on GM.

After an overnight rain I have a large wet spot underneath the passenger side door. It seems to be coming from the buttons that attach the gasket to the bottom of the door.
