Replacement of clutch but issue with transmission removal....unbolted from engine.....but seems to be hung....also clearance is issue as trans. won't tilt down

Does exhaust. have to be unbolted to
let trans & engine to tilt down on
rear......also have unbolted press
plate......but did not help.......HELP!

The engine not tilting down on a Ford most likely is the exhaust headers. But a word of warning, pulling the pressure plate lose before pulling the tranny is a mistake, be careful it doesn't fall and hit you when you finally pull the tranny. Make sure you have all the bell housing out Ford use's 7 or 8 bolts, and on some models the starter bolt go in to the bell housing which hold it. But if there all out the reason its not coming out is its stuck in the pilot bearing in the flywheel. I have seen cases where you had to use come-a-long to pull the tranny back. Good luck
