Life expectancy of a ford f-150
As long as you put money into it for repair. I've seen people keep cars for over 600K as long as they replaced parts that needed replacing, engines and transmissions, etc. and body work.
Some common issues with the 5.4 3 valve engine are Timing chains system, Phasers and spark plugs. Depending on maintenance given by previous owners but they fail as early as 75K miles.
Depends on how the vehicle was maintained. If you are looking at purchasing one, check out the vehicle and see what does not work. If the owner does not fix the little things, what do you think the chances are it addresses the necessities. Run your finger across the face of the rotors. If they are grooved, then the brakes have not been maintained and will need replacing along with the pads. Just a note. There is a large nut holding on the front rotors. They are one use, when they come off, they're 35 bucks a piece to replace. And you'll need a torque wrench with the ability to tighten to 200 plus foot pounds.
