Took it to a transmission shop yesterday they said everything is reading fine
Just my opinion. If I took my vehicle to a Tranny shop with no reverse, no second or fourth gear, and was told by the mechanic or owner everything was fine, I'd have to make one statement to him; obviously everything is not fine with half the gears not working. Probably a sensor or solenoid. I'd look for another transmission shop.
I took it to the transmission shop they said they don't understand why its reading everything is fine. When they know something's wrong with it they told me to bring it back so they can check the transfer case check the housing and check the body of the transmission all the wiring they said that they need it for at least a couple hours I was hoping to find out some information before I got back to the shop
At trans shop. No metal in pan. Solenoids are all tight
I am not a tranny expert by any means. I leave that up to a guy I went to high school with 47 years ago, and has been working in his dad's tranny shop shop since 1968. When my 2003 explorer has a flashing OD light he hooked up some electronic gizmo to the computer, drove it around the block, and knew exactly what was the problem in five minutes. You have the same problem plug the absence of half the gears. Just saying.
