2004 f150 lariat edition wont start after replacing main wire to starter

My truck wouldnt start yesterday. I looked it over
and found that the main wire (red) has corroded
and broken off of the starter. I disconnected the
battery, changed the part, and then reconnected
the battery. It still will not start. I mention the
battery because i have the anti theft system and i
wonder if that has anything to do with the truck not
starting after disconecting and reconecting the
battery. Any ideas?

Is the solenoid wire good?

There are 2 wires connected to the solenoid. I assumed the red one (which was broken off) was the main one. The other one looks fine. And im getting 11.9 amps to the starter.


11.9 volts? That is low.


Have the battery charged and tested.

The battery is fine i tested it and even jump starting it didnt even turn over.


There should be 3 wires at the starter make sure they are all good, 2 come off and one jumps to another

They are all good! I replaced the one that broke off. The rest are fine.
