i have a 2003 ford f150 and the taillights and stop lights dont work also hit either turn signal and both lights flicker very slightly though
Sounds like a short. I would trace the electrical for the lighting system and make sure its grounded. Also the stalk (the thing to click up or down to use the turn signals may be shorted, so be sure to check that as well. Best of luck!
I've seen many pickups experience the same problem with the tail lights. Get under the truck and locate the ground buss. It could be near the rear end. The connection may have four or so wires entering on one side mated to a connection with only one wire exiting, attached to a metal portion. Check for a broken of loose wire in that location first. It sounds like a ground problem. You can also probe the positive side of the tail light plug with a test light or multi-meter then touch the negative side of the meter to a non painted metal portion of the truck. If the test light lights or meter shows voltage, it's a ground problem.
