2003 F150 V6
wont start after replacing fuel pump and filter just cranks over I can spray starting fluid in breather hose and it will start only for a second ther is alot of pressure at the release valve when i turn the key on
do you have any codes stored in the computer?
You getting spark...sounds like you aren't~
check your coil pack that give you the spark
this one has brilliant onboard diagnostics built in 'tis a matter of extracting them...you could get it for FREE from NAPA or advance auto, or Olreillys or you could buy your own diagnostic tool....thery're cheap~
If it starts on starting fluid, you have spark. Since there is fuel pressure at the release valve, the problem is beyond that. Sounds like injectors to me.
Maybe its a security issue. Doesn't that disable the injectors? Or does it kill spark?
kennyf, you with us? You're the one who got the ball rolling...is it ever going to roll into a pocket or slam against a bumper, now?
it dose have spark because it will start after starting fluid don;t have a computer but I will try that next
what you mean by a security issue
If the truck doesnt recognize the key it will not start it has a passive antitheft system from the factory
I just couldnt remember if the system will cut fuel or fire to the engine to make it not start when the secutiry system is active. But i think it does disable the fuel injectors in that case
