The high beams are stuck on in my 2002 Impala and won't switch off
For the longest time the multifunction switch would not click the high beams on. When I turned on my turn signal, somehow the high beams switched ON and will not go off.
Sounds like either the dimmer switch, on the column, is bad or the rod that goes from the turn signal lever to the dimmer switch has come loose. HTH. -Jim
Is an easy fix - something I can do myself?
It involves removing the lower steering colum cover then lowering the steering column. The dimmer switch sits on top of the column with a rod that goes up to the turn signal stalk. If you're handy you should be able to tackle it. Not a terribly hard job. HTH. -Jim
I have a 2005 Chevy Impala the high beams are stuck in the on position so when I turn the car off the high beams stay on and drains my battery if I remove the bulbs temporarily will that keep from draining my battery even though the light on the dash still shows the high beams being on temporarily
