My 03 F150 5.4 will not start and it does not make any noises at all when I attempted to start it. It had started with no problem at all about and hour prior

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I started my 03 F150 this morning with no issues and shut it off.  I went back out to start
it and nothing happened.  The engine would not start or turn over at all.  The battery is
fully charge.  What can it try?

First thing I'd try is shifting to Neutral and seeing if it cranks. The Second thing is a thorough cleaning of the battery posts and terminals. Your starter may have failed. Some say to hit it with a hammer and see if it cranks. I won't say "Don't do it" but I don't) Don't assume that a battery is Fully Charged because t turns the lights on - lights don't draw many amps (3 to 15) but starter do - up to 200! The only way to know if a Battery is charged is to load test it or to check the specific gravity of the electrolyte in the cells.

Is this 2003 F150 5.4L cranking, but not starting, or is it just not cranking over at all ?

Mine does the same thing, cranks right up when cold, turn it off and it doesn't click or anything, No Codes showing,
