Soft brake pedal

Asked by Jul 04, 2014 at 02:41 AM about the 2003 Ford F-150 XLT Crew Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The master cylinder has been replaced.  There are no leaks in the brake lines or calipers.  The pedal is firm when first pushed.  As you keep pressure on the pedal it slowly goes to the floor.  When the pedal is pumped repeatedly it makes a loud breathing type sound.  Any ideas where to go next?

Your master cylinder is leaking internally. HTH. - Jim
