No instrument cluster lights or tail lights.

Asked by Jan 18, 2016 at 08:48 PM about the 2003 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Supercharged Crew Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lost instrument lights and tail lights. No parking lights either. Brake lights and
turn signals work both front and back. Checked all fuses and replaced light
switch. Still no lights. Headlights work. Any ideas?

Did you check both fuse boxes? Theirs one in the cab under the dash and one under the hood; typically on the outer edges of engine bay. Other than that it really sounds like a bad ACC / Tail Lamp fuse or an open wire that possibly could have grounded itself out somewhere on your truck and is now creating an open in your circuit. ...lastly I'd go through and check all of your lamp relays. Could just need to be replaced.

Tail lights and cluster lights are both fed from the same fuse. It's fuse #6 in the fuse box on passanger side kick pannel

Thank you for your answers. It turned out to be the fuse in the engine compartment. If it blows again I will look for the reason why it blew, Thank you again for your help.
