After replacing both crank & cam shaft positioning sensors truck starts but cuts out. What direction do I go now?

Issue began with truck not starting at all. Replaced crankshaft sensor first, it
started but was cutting out. Then I replaced the camshaft sensor and still is
cutting out.

I would have the vehicle scanned for any trouble codes. Write them down if there are any, and there should be some stored. This will let you know what to look at for repair.

Have already done that. Only one code - P0320. What seems to be confusing to me is the "Ignition/distributor/engine speed sensor". Not sure what it is exactly I'm looking for to order or where to find it on my truck.

Ok, chances are you are looking for a frayed wire, bad wire in the engine speed sensor circuit.

Just seemed like once the crankshaft sensor was replaced and it started right up, I thought my problem was solved. Frayed wire does make sense provided I can locate it.

So where does that sensor install?

I don't think that was the right one. There looks to be several speed sensors, trany, wheels, have not found the one for the engine distributor yet.

Hear is some information on the po320....P0320 FORD Description Ignition failure sensor is used to check whether the spark ignition is occurred correctly or not and also used to tachometer drive. The sensor monitors the voltage difference between a resistance which is on the battery circuit for ignition coil. When the ignition coil works properly, the electric current through the resistance is detected as voltage drop. This is confirmed for every ignition event with the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor. If Engine Control Module (ECM) detects a malfunction, no ignition is possible, so the engine would not start. If there is no ignition signal for a predetermined cycle for one or two ignition coils, an ignition coil circuit failure exists.

I have read a lot on this code. There is a lot to it. One forum said they replaced the two wires from the crankshaft sensor back to a big plugin, which took care of the problem. Most everything I have ben reading indicates a wiring problem. Another forum said to unplug the alternator while it is running to see if the engine smooths out, that there could be RF frequencies interfering with the circuit. The fix was to replace the alternator. Another RF interference is if there is a two way radio not properly installed. So there seems to be a lot on this code and a lot of different things to check. Do some research and write down the fixes, and start with one until you get it.
