i have a 2002 f150 4wheel drive automatic driving and all of a sudden notyhing rpms rise but no power to rear wheels. now reverse is out ?????? they want 3500 for a rebuilt tranny i am lostany heip

Chances are you are in need of a rebuild. I suggest finding a long standing mom and pop shop for an estimate. Personally, I stay away from big box tranny concerns. Also, check out the price at a Ford dealership for a reman motorcraft tranny. May be within the price range quoted and you'll have a better warranty, probably.
