will crank but will not start
I have fuel to fuel rack I have spark to spark plugs It trys to start when I spray starting fluid what could be wrong
if it fires with ether, then you have likely lost a fuel pump, or have a dirty fuel filter. change the filter first, then if still the same, test your fuel pressure. you should hear the pump cycle when you turn the key to the on position without starting the truck.
Couple things Joe, when was your last tune up? I had this happen on a Chevy s10. Had spark and fuel, no start. Ended up being the cap and rotor. Had spark, just not enough. Also, "a good squirt of fuel" isn't necessarily enough. It has to meet certain specs for each engine. Google the specs for your engine and have the fuel pressure tested to see if it is within them. Even if it is 5lbs. Out of spec it won't start.
