I have a 2001 f150 ext cab 4x4 that i just purchased while driving it it has a vibration coming from the rear end when i turn the wheel its not in the front end
I have checked all ball joints and have put brand new rotors and pads on have even pulled the rear pan off and checked gears gears seem to be new looks like some one has put new diff gears in it and I have put brand new fluid in now but still has not fixed the problem
Did you check the drive shaft u - joints ? When you are going straight you do not feel this vibration ?
Agree with Firebird,
Check u-joints and check the pinion flange nut. Also is this a locking differential? If it is a locking (traction Lock) differential a special friction modifier is required to be added with the differential lubricant. With out the additive these things make some strange noises when turning.
