The glass fell out of the side-view mirror.

Asked by Nov 07, 2015 at 11:25 PM about the 2001 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The mirror it's self is fine. The glass isn't cracked. The four posts on the back
aren't all there. Can I get a kit to reattach it.

Use some clear Silicone 1 to glue it back in. It will take several hours to set up though so don't disturb it.

Most auto glass shops will repair it very reason with the proper glue and guarantee it for life. Cheap at half the price. couldn't buy the special glue for the cost to fix it.

I guess I wasn't clear. Not only the glass fell out. The plastic part that holds the glass came off.

Not sure of a cure for that except possibly the same answer as before. I would try an automotive glass repair service.
