Rear driver side,lights don't work,Fuse&bulbs r good ,what could cause this?

Tried replacing old bulbs &fuse with new
one even though old ones showed no signs
of defects

Turn lights on. Use multimeter. Set to DC voltage. Remove bulb. Touch side of socket with one probe and bottom contact with other, If no voltage begin checking backward. Power usually jumps from one side to the other with rear lights, check for bad connection.
