Where is the starter relay located on my 2001 F150?
I replaced the battery in my 2001 F150 and it wont start...It clicks at the relay but I cant tell where it is. Any one know where the location of the starter relay is?
should be on the firewall, will be several of them,if you here it clicking, have someone turn the keyswitch and feel for the one clicking.
although the clicking usally means it is still working try testing the starter
old thread, very old, but they did not mention the cables can be followed from the battery to a plastic cover shielding the starter relay. The starter below has a solenoid of its own. the relay enables the solenoid. you would verify the little wire at the starter lights up first, if not? then tap the relay up under the plastic sight cover. part stores have them in stock.
