Pulled out of driveway and truck went into neutral. Can't get any gears now.

Possible gear selector switch malfunction, you should really have the rig scanned so you would have a better idea on where too start.

It did make a slight noise then nothing. I was thinking maybe a plug came loose or maybe the catalyt converter. The check engine lights been coming on


a bad cat will not keep it from going into gear, it may not run enough to pull the rig but you can feel it go into gear. If the check light has been coming on the codes are stored so get them pulled. if you don't have a code reader maybe you can rent one.

Could it be a transmission problem. I haven't ruled that out but it hasn't been slipping in the slightest and I don't even have reverse.


It could but usually they give some kind of warning, I still think it is a bad or loose park switch. But the codes will tell.
