Headlights will turn off unless pull fuse under hood
The headlights on my 2000 F150 stay on when the switch is turned off, I also have no dash or tailights. The lights even come on when the parking lights are tiurned on, If you pull the fuse under the hood they go off until you turn the headlight switch on. I have pulled all relays, unplugged headlight switch, unplugged the wiring harness under the box, and they still stay on. Any Ideas?
I will assume this is a current situation and no "workaround" electrical modifications have been made. First, remove the switch from the dash. Obtain a schematic of the switch and use a multi-meter to check each position of the knob position. First check the switch in the off position against the position where the headlights. If there is continuity then replace the switch.
