Belt shereded, I replaced now truck
will crank but not start. Has a new
Alternator this is second belt in 3-4
months. Opinions please
Frequent belt breakage is usually associated with a problem with pulley alignment, wrong belt type, or a pulley part which was replaced which has a different groove pattern from the other pulleys. It can also be caused by a belt driven accessory binding up, causing excess stress on the belt. It should not cause engine start capabilities. Since the engine does not fire, but cranks I'd check fuel pressure first.
