what type of transmission fluid should i use in my manual. transmission
80W90 Gear lube. Unscrew plug on the side of your trans. and fill with the gear oil till it starts coming back out. Then it is full. Manuals don't actually use transmission fluid, only automatics.
Whoa there dlw, a lot of today's manual trannies take ATF as does this one, there is usually a tag on the tranny telling you what type of fluid it uses, plus your local parts store will have the spec chart on what fluid and how much to put in. HTH
Ooooops! My bad. I guess I was thinking of the 80's Ford manual trucks I used to run! Denny, ignore my post!
