Why does my 2002 chevy avalanche rear end click whenever I'm backing up. It only does it when I back out. It is four wheel drive 3.5lit. it is lifted it only does it whenever I'm backing up.
Are there disc breaks on the back?
I'm pretty sure there is. And it dont do it all the time backing up (the noise).
Was told it "could" be my hub assembly
Yes its the hub assembly and the bearing will akso need to be replaced...
I just went threw this on a vehicle, If there are disk brakes on the rear, need to pull the rotor off and check the emergency brakes as they are shoes and spring assembly inside the drum of the rotor. Other wise I agree with joemom on the hub assembly. The hub assembly includes the bearing.
I'm worried it's my axel because the u-joint isnt doing well either.
Then the u-joints need replacing.
U-Joints will squeak, click, clunk...
