bought a new alternator for my 95 f150 5.0 and alternator still not working
Possible broken or damaged wires to alternator... Pull connector and test for voltage...
Depending on where you got the alternator it could be a dud. I've bought a few like that from auto zone.
check fusible links and fuses
Take the car to autozone and have them check it for free. If not charging, remove alternator and take the alternator only again and see if alternator charges, if it does then u know for sure it's ur truck and start troubleshooting but at least u'll have a clue where the problem is
i bet its the plug ,,has corrosion ,,clean it and then see what happens ...
I had this problem on my 2003 mustang what the problem was, was that the plug in to the alternator clip that locks it in was broke and not fully locking in place so when I drove down the road the wires would loosen up and back off enough that it wouldn't charge. when you looked at it, it looked fine but it really wasn't
