Replaced clutch in a 95 f150 2 wheel drive also replaced slave and master cylinder bench bleed both got a loud noise coming from bell housing in a neutral idle
there may have been a pilot bearing in the end of the crank shaft where the tranny spline goes in ,,those can whine though , the main rear seal should have been replaced also fyi , just in neutral and drives O.K. ? weird
Replaced both seal and but the one I didn't notice was that the pilot bearing had a grove on back side and new one didn't it's a 11 inch clutch not the 10 inch the guy at AutoZone told me it was the correct one when I wen back and him he was a retarded I've several clutches in over the years so as soon as I started it I heard the noise new something wasn't right and shut the old girl down its not that bad to pull just hate working twice

yours may not have had a pilot bearing , just a thought ,if it's that bad a noise then you know somethings up , I gave up on snapa and autozoo , didn't like their attitude ,I found a more independent parts store without any corporate glitter and I have no complaints . There's always online shopping , for what it's worth . Pull it apart , we do it nice cause we do it twice .Let us know what happens .
