can you advance the distributor on a 1995 ford f-150 302
No. It will automatically adjust itself and retard itself by the ecm. To do this properly its not a simple process but it can be done.
on some older fords there was an electrical connection called a SPOUT connector. you would unplug it and it would take the ecm out of the timing equation. you could adjust the distributor then plug it back in and the computer would come back in. not sure if your model has it, but a Chilton manual could help you on this one.
SPark OUTput connector.
For "power tuning" don't advance the ignition timing more than 4 degrees. HTH. -Jim
