NOT THE ANSWER BUT MORE TO MY QUESTION: It started 13 times before stranding me far from home. That was after the ignition replacement. The fuel pump comes on and pressurizes as well. Also tried jumping the fuse, still no start.
I have had similar problems check your distributor, your ignition coil, or the ignition coil module I believe on your truck its distributor mounted but I just had a problem where it wouldnt start but then randomly would then not amd it was the module also check you battery cables to male sure you dont have a bare wire that could be your problem as well. Goodluck
Thank You !
Are you getting fire to the plugs? (probably not) Are you still blowing fuses? If you have an old time distributor, check the points and condensor. If the gap is too large on the points, nothing is going to happen.
replace your ignition module on the left side corner of engine compartment square gray aluminum heat sink around it. more than likely thats your issue
