May be a fuel issue, first start by replacing the fuel filter. Then check the fuel pressure with a gauge. Fuel pressure should be 30 to 45 lbs. May be the fuel pump or the fuel regulator.

Also check and see what the spark looks like, it should be white in color, not an orange color. Possible Ignition Control Module or a weak coil.

Well you need to start checking things or have a garage look at it... For me to help, I need to know what certain conditions are, color of spark, and fuel pressure. Listed here are things that may be bad... fuel pump, fuel regulator, ignition control module, or the coil. I don't think you would want to just go ahead and replace all these things?

Check the little modules behind the washer tank the wire corrodes on the fuel pump relay or ignition control I had the same problem with my 89 1 ton would run all day in the driveway but crap out once you got down the road

why would my ESI Module that is to the right of my battery not in the tank fill up with gas? Is that normal or is it like an air filter
