My 50/50 split bench seat in my 1994 F150 won't fold forward either side.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Possibly the seat is misaligned on the tracks. Does the release handle operate as it should, or is it jammed? The seat is easy enough to remove, just four or so bolts holding it to the floor, plus maybe a electrical connection underneath. A lot easier to determine the problem if the seat is unattached then tilted backward to see the mechanism underneath.
